Your car engine internally has about 13 pounds of pressure in any one place.  The marketers of certain products use this device (to the right) to prey on your ignorance by demonstrating chemicals designed for machine shops.  These chemicals – called cutting fluids – are designed for machining parts. That’s okay in machine shops, but when you seal them up in your engine, transmission, or differential, they release corrosive acids because of their chemical makeup. You don’t want to add ACIDS to your engine, transmission or differentials in your vehicle, right?  We hope not!

The Federal Trade Commission has looked at several of these companies that market products to consumers claiming to protect engines, increase fuel mileage, and ave you money overall. However, the FTC has investigated these companies and their claims to see if they are truthful. Unfortunately, the claims made by these companies and their formulas were found to be fraudulent.   The makers of Slick 50 (today’s formula), Duralube, Motor Up, Zmax, Prolong, STP and others were fined and issued cease-and-desist orders related to marketing to the consumer market.

Credible testing by the likes of the U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Army, FAA, NASA, University of Utah, and others.  Their tests simulated real-world applications for Bishops Original Products.

The tests proved the ability of Bishops Original to stop wear, and to increase mileage, horsepower, torque, and overall longevity of the systems it was tested in. The below tests were performed on Bishops Original products formulations only at times under some of its private label brands.  While you may think that these tests are “dated,” they still work and provide the same benefits as they did back then. 

U.S. Department of Energy

The U.S. Department of Energy found that with a 5% increase in fuel economy, approximately 100 million barrels of fuel would be saved annually. Their test on Lubrilon Permanent Engine Protection concluded the following increase in fuel economy: Fuel Economy, MPG change Urban +6.9% Highway +5.31%

Federal Aviation Administration

The Federal Aviation Administration found engine friction at take off, and cruise RPMs to be lowered 25 to 30 percent when aircraft engines are treated with Lubrilon Permanent Engine Protection. Also, after ten hours of testing, oil consumption was a mere one pint, whereas normal acceptable oil consumption averages one quart per two hours. They concluded by stating that they “…would consider all findings to be better than acceptable standards.”

University or Nantes (France)

The University of Nantes in France conducted a full load test on Lubrilon Permanent Engine Protection, proving our claims to be true. Internal engine friction decreased while horsepower and torque increased. They stated that “a single treatment with Lubrilon Engine Protection will provide a substantial savings due to improved engine efficiency and lubrication.” At full load Test Results Friction – 16% Torque + 4.7% Horsepower + 4.7% Acceleration + 17%

The Swedish Institute of Agricultural Engineering

Testing by the SIAE found a decrease in the amount of harmful carbon dust emissions and fuel consumption achieved through the use of Lubrilon Permanent Engine Protection.

U.S. Army

Testing by the U.S. Army at Fort Hood, Texas for the M-113 Personnel Carrier found virtually no wear or deterioration to any components treated with Bishops Original Products. All internal parts were sent to a NASA lab for detailed inspection. Testing at NASA proved the coating to be one micron thick and bonded to the metal surfaces.

Franklin Research Institute

The Franklin Institute Research Laboratory, Inc. tried to remove the permanent coating that Lubrilon products apply to lubricated metal surfaces, but was unable to do so. They concluded that ‛‛The above experiments show that coating to be 1 to 2 microns thick and bonded to the surface.”

TÜV (Germany)

TÜV, a prestigious motor testing lab in Germany, conducted testing on Lubrilon Products and the results showed, “… a measurable reduction in the frictional losses through the addition of Lubrilon to the engine, gear box and back axle oils.”

Southwest Research Institute

The Southwest Research Institute found that you can resist and protect from corrosion caused by salt water spray through the use of Lubrilon All Purpose Penetrating Lubricant Spray. (APPL Spray)
